Grand Guru Purnima Festival at Shri Dudhiya Diwan Dham

The Shri Dudhiya Diwan Dham Gurukulam organized a grand three-day festival to celebrate Guru Purnima, which was observed on July 29, 2026. Thousands of disciples from across the country gathered to express their devotion to their guru, participating in various religious ceremonies, guru diksha, and cultural events.

Festival Highlights and Rituals

The first day of the festival commenced with the sacred tonsure ceremony for young Brahmin boys entering the Gurukulam. On the second day, the boys performed ten types of ritualistic bathing, including Hemadri Snan, followed by the Abhishek and Archana of the Guru Paduka, symbolizing profound dedication to the guru.

Guru Diksha and Spiritual Confluence

The third day saw the arrival of disciple groups from all over India for guru diksha and religious observances. Under the guidance of Dr. Jagdish Shastri, the Peethadhishwar of Shri Dudhiya Diwan Dham, alongside Acharya Kapil Sharma, Acharya Samarth Shastri, and Acharya Sagar Upadhyay, thousands of disciples participated in the Abhishek and Puja of Lord Dattatreya, guided by Guru Upanishad. Subsequently, the guru blessed hundreds of youths with guru diksha, encouraging them on the path of knowledge and spirituality.

Spiritual Discourse and Community Feast

Jagdish Shastri, the superintendent of the Gurukulam, conducted a musical Shri Satyanarayan Katha and delivered spiritually enriching discourses, imparting vital life lessons to the assembled disciples. A community feast was held throughout the day, with all devotees partaking in the blessed prasad.

Grand Bhajan Sandhya and Esteemed Guests

The evening culminated in a massive Bhajan Sandhya, graced by the presence of numerous saints and scholars. Artists such as Bhagvatacharya Shri Sudarshan Sharma (Neelgiri Ashram), Jai Nagar Ji, Shyampur Mahendra Sharma, Kunwar, Shri Suresh Anand Ji (Ujjain), Brajesh Kishore Sharma (Binaganj), Vivek Prajapati (Kumbhraj), and Manoj Vishwakarma presented devotional songs.
