Grand Finale to Seven-Day Shri Krishna Janmotsav in Utraula; Immersion at Dukharanath Temple

Devotional Culmination of Shri Krishna Janmotsav in Utraula

The week-long Shri Krishna Janmotsav celebrations in Utraula town, Balrampur district, concluded on Monday in a highly devotional atmosphere. Promises were made for its return next year as idols of Lord Shri Krishna were immersed with music and reverence at the Dukharanath Temple.

Thousands of devotees participated in the event. Dozens of tableaux, gathered from various parts of the town, first reached the Jwala Maharani Temple. From there, hundreds of youths danced to the beats of DJs and traditional musical instruments, joining the main procession.

The immersion procession, which started from the post office, traversed the main routes of the town before reaching the Dukharanath Temple. During this time, the entire town was filled with devotion, and the air resonated with chants of 'Haathi Ghoda Palki, Jai Kanhaiya Lal Ki'.

Civic Arrangements and Community Support

For the convenience and safety of the devotees, local traders and residents had arranged for sweets, sherbet, and drinking water at various locations. Prior to this, on the occasion of the deity's 'Chhathi' (sixth day celebration), community feasts ('bhandaras') were organized at numerous places in the town, where a large number of people partook in the prasad.

Attractive cultural programs were also held during the seven-day festival in areas such as Hasimpara, Lalganj, Shahpur Itai, Bethuiya, and Khujuh.

Peaceful Immersion Under Administrative Vigilance

The local administration remained fully alert to maintain peace and order. The Circle Officer of Utraula, the Sub-Divisional Magistrate, and the Nagar Kotwal, along with police forces from several stations, monitored the procession until late at night. The immersion ceremony was peacefully completed around 2 AM under tight security.

Thousands of devotees, including Anup Gupta, Radheshyam Verma, Ravindra Gupta, Santosh Kasaudhan, Amit Gupta, Kapil Gupta, Dayaram Verma, Shravan Soni, Pharendra Gupta, Narendra Patwa, Vikas Gupta, Rajesh Soni, Rajesh Gupta Monu, Abhishek Gupta, Ram Prakash Gupta, Deepak Chaudhary, Alok Gupta, Akash Gupta, Deepak Gupta, Shubham Gupta, and Manish Kaushal, were instrumental in making the event a success. Ravindra Gupta, the Divisional President of the Kamlapuri Vaishya Samaj, played an active role in the program.

Town residents praised the administration and the organizing committee, deeming the religious event extremely successful. Despite the heavy crowds on major routes, arrangements remained smooth.
