Anti-Adulteration Campaign Launched in Bhind

Bhind district has launched a significant campaign against food adulteration. Acting on the instructions of Collector Pawan Kumar Jain, officials from the Food Safety Department conducted thorough inspections of dairies, milk vehicles, sweet shops, and hotels across the district.

The primary objective of this campaign is to ensure that the public receives pure and quality food products. During the inspections, food safety officers collected samples of various food items from different locations. These samples have been sent to the laboratory for further examination to ascertain their quality.

Sample Collection Across Various Areas

Food Safety Officer Mrs. Reena Bansal collected a sample of Gujiya from Balaji Sweets and Fast Food Corner in the Amayan area of Mehgaon tehsil. Samples of Barfi and Mawa Peda were collected from Jai Aaji Maa Mishthan Bhandar in the same area. A sample of adulterated milk was also taken for testing from a milk vehicle in Gram Takpura.

In Ater tehsil, Food Safety Officer Mrs. Kiran Sanger obtained a sample of paneer from a dairy in Gram Jori Ahir. Additionally, samples of adulterated milk were collected from milk vendors in Gram Kalyanpura and Rama. Food Safety Officer Ms. Rekha Soni also took possession of a milk sample from the milk vehicle (Registration No. MP30 G 0762) belonging to Shyam Singh Narwariya on Ater Road.

Notice Issued to Dhaba Operator

Furthermore, the department had received complaints regarding 'Apna Singh Dhaba' located on the Etawah Bypass Road. Based on these complaints, a departmental team inspected the dhaba. Due to various irregularities found during the inspection, the dhaba operator has been issued a notice under Section 32 of the Food Safety and Standards Act, 2006.

The department has clarified that such campaigns will continue in the future to effectively curb adulteration.
