Grand Inauguration of Ancient Flag Festival in Agras

The five-day ancient Flag Festival was formally inaugurated on Monday at the Mahapurush Baba Ki Madhi in Agras village, located within the Fatehganj Western police station area of Bareilly district, Uttar Pradesh. The primary highlight of this religious and cultural event was the ceremonial flag hoisting by BJP leader and District Panchayat Member, Tejeshwari Singh.

Alongside former MLA Narendra Pal Singh, Festival President Darpan Gangwar, and Patron Amit Gangwar, Singh performed prayers amidst Vedic chants, officially marking the commencement of the festival. The organizing committee announced that the festival will continue for five days, with daily cultural performances by the renowned Sadhna Natak Mandali from Farrukhabad serving as a major attraction for devotees and locals.

Devotees Flock to Agras for Blessings and Festivities

Devotees are arriving from far and wide at Baba Ki Madhi to offer Prasad and pray for the well-being and prosperity of their families. The festival grounds have been adorned with various shops selling puja materials and other household items, allowing devotees to shop while enjoying the cultural events and entertainment arranged for their enjoyment.

Special swings have also been set up for children's amusement, providing entertainment for both young and old from surrounding rural areas. The smooth and peaceful conduct of the festival is a testament to the collaborative efforts of the local administration, organizing committee members, and villagers.

Community Participation Ensures Peaceful Celebration

Numerous dignitaries, including teachers Manoj Gangwar and Amit Singh, doctor Mudit Pratap Singh, and priests Pandit Alok Sharma and Pandit Satya Prakash Sharma, along with several village heads, were present at the event. Local villagers such as Lal Bahadur Gangwar, Nathu Lal Gangwar, Ram Bharose Kashyap, and Ved Prakash Sahu played active roles in maintaining order. A large number of local people are attending the festival, boosting the morale of the organizers.
