Security Tightened for Upcoming Diwali Festival

In preparation for the upcoming Diwali festival, Deori Police have bolstered security arrangements to ensure a peaceful, safe, and harmonious celebration. Under the directives of Superintendent of Police Sanjeev Kumar Sinha and guidance from SDOPI Arun Kumar Uike, a police team led by Station House Officer Kapil Lakshmikar conducted a foot patrol flag march through various sensitive areas of the town.

The police contingent traversed key routes and public spaces including the Bus Stand, Mahakali Ward, the old Nagar Palika area, and the Sehchpur Chowk. The primary objective of this visible presence was to reassure citizens and traders of their safety and to convey a message of maintaining law and order during the festival.

Markets Under Close Surveillance and Assurance of Safety

Considering the expected crowds in markets, traffic management, and other security concerns for Diwali, the police are maintaining a high level of alertness. The main aim of this foot patrol was to keep a close watch on anti-social elements and to strengthen the sense of security among the public.

“Anti-social activities can increase during festivals like Diwali, which is why police patrols have been intensified,” stated Station House Officer Kapil Lakshmikar. He also urged citizens to immediately report any suspicious activity to the police for timely action.

This flag march is a significant step towards assuring the residents of Deori of their safety. Police officials also met with prominent citizens to address their security concerns. Traders were also reassured about security, especially those dealing with high-value goods.

Ensuring Smooth Shopping and Festive Cheer

The police also took steps to prevent unauthorized encroachments and traffic obstructions in the markets, facilitating a more convenient shopping experience for the public. SDOPI Arun Kumar Uike remarked that Diwali is a festival of joy, and it is the police's duty to ensure everyone can celebrate without fear.

He informed that the police force has received special instructions to remain alert at all times and be prepared to handle any emergency. Additional police personnel will be deployed during the festival, particularly in areas expected to have large gatherings. The proactive stance of Station House Officer Kapil Lakshmikar and the entire police staff demonstrates Deori Police's commitment to maintaining peace and law and order during Diwali.

The administration has also appealed to citizens to celebrate the festival with mutual brotherhood and peace. The police’s vigilance will continue in the coming days to prevent any untoward incidents and ensure a joyous Diwali celebration in Deori.
