Crackdown on Fertilizer Black Marketing in Guna
During a review meeting of the Agriculture Department held at the Guna District Collectorate auditorium on September 10, 2026, Collector Kishore Kumar Kanyal issued strict orders for action against fertilizer black marketing and illegal distribution within the district. He emphasized that upon receiving any complaint, concerned officials must immediately register an FIR and ensure stringent legal action.
The meeting was attended by Deputy Director of Agriculture Sanjeev Sharma and representatives from the Farmers' Union. Highlighting the district's favorable climate, the Collector urged farmers to move away from traditional farming and embrace crop diversification and horticulture. He believes this shift will lead to increased farmer income.
Deputy Director of Agriculture stated that the urad crop can prove economically beneficial for farmers during the summer season.
Ensuring Fertilizer Availability via E-Token System
In efforts to ensure fertilizer availability, Deputy Director of Agriculture Sanjeev Sharma informed that a new rack of DAP (Di-Ammonium Phosphate) was recently received. A transparent e-token system has been implemented for the distribution of this fertilizer.
Fertilizers are being distributed through 22 cooperative societies, double-lock centers, and private dealers in the district. Farmers can book fertilizer by checking the available stock information on the portal daily at 10 AM. Approximately 900 farmers have utilized this system to book DAP today.
Administrative officials have requested farmers to use NPK (Nitrogen, Phosphorus, Potassium) fertilizer in addition to DAP. In view of the upcoming Rabi season preparations, farmers can make advance bookings for NPK through the e-development system.
Campaign Against Spurious Seeds
Additionally, the Collector has directed the continuation of the campaign against spurious seeds to ensure farmers have access to quality seeds and avoid potential losses.
