District Administration Launches Initiative for Specially-Abled Students

To ensure convenient transportation for specially-abled girl students in Farrukhabad district, the District Disabled Empowerment Department has launched a significant initiative. Under the financial year 2026-27, 20 e-tricycles will be provided in each assembly constituency.

This scheme aims to facilitate access for studying specially-abled girls to their schools and educational/training institutions. District Disabled Empowerment Officer, Shri Mahendra Pratap Singh, stated that the benefit will be extended to specially-abled girls aged 16 years or above, who are currently enrolled in a school or educational institution.

Eligibility Criteria and Application Process

The physical condition of the beneficiary must be suitable for operating an e-tricycle. Additionally, a disability certificate certified by the Chief Medical Officer or a UDID card is mandatory.

The application process for the scheme is entirely online. Interested specially-abled girls can apply by visiting the website hwd.uphq.in. Several important documents are required for the application, which need to be uploaded during the online submission.

Required Documents and Submission

The necessary documents include an Aadhaar card, disability certificate, income certificate, caste certificate for the relevant category, an active mobile number, and a passport-sized photograph.

After completing the online application, it is also mandatory to submit a hard copy of the application form along with all required documents to the Office of the District Disabled Empowerment Officer, Janpath Road, Fatehgarh, Farrukhabad. This step ensures that all eligible students receive the benefits of the scheme.
