Farrukhabad Celebrates Hindi Fortnight: 17 Litterateurs Honored, 44 Colleges Receive Books

Grand Ceremony Marks Hindi Fortnight in Farrukhabad

A grand ceremony was organized at PM Shri Mahadevi Verma Government Girls Inter College in Fatehgarh, Farrukhabad, as part of the Hindi Fortnight. The event, held under the Member of Parliament Local Area Development Scheme, aimed to promote the national language Hindi and foster the development of literature.

The program commenced with a welcome song presented by the students, a Saraswati Vandana, and garlanding the portrait of Mahadevi Verma. During this special ceremony, 44 inter colleges in the district were distributed new books for study, providing students with an opportunity to connect with literature and gain knowledge.

Member of Parliament Mukesh Rajput, who was the chief guest, reiterated the government's commitment to preserving the Hindi language. He announced that the scope of such literary programs would be further expanded in the upcoming financial year. Assurance was also given that educational institutions that did not receive books in this phase would be prioritized for future book distribution.

Honoring Literary and Educational Contributions

During the program, individuals who have made significant contributions to literature and excellent service work were honored. A total of 17 litterateurs, including Dr. Shivom Ambar, Surendra Somvanshi, Pawan Batham, and Ramavatar Sharma, were felicitated with a certificate of appreciation, shawl, and books for their literary contributions. This recognition highlights their dedication and service to Hindi literature.

Additionally, Virendra Kumar Singh, Devesh Saxena, Pooja Bhadauria, Ravindra Pratap Saxena, Adesh Gangwar, and Navneet Bhardwaj from the District Rural Development Agency were awarded for their excellent service work. The college principal, Deepika Rajput, along with 16 female teachers, were also honored for their valuable contributions in the fields of education and social work.

Continuous Efforts to Promote Hindi

In his address, District Magistrate Dr. Ankur Lather urged students to draw inspiration from literature and emphasized the importance of books. He stated that literature not only imparts knowledge but also inspires the art of living and becoming better citizens.

Senior litterateur Dr. Shivom Ambar praised the efforts of MP Mukesh Rajput, calling it a significant step towards the enrichment of the Hindi language. The program was skillfully conducted by young poet Vaibhav Somvanshi. Local public representatives, administrative officials, teachers, and students participated in large numbers, contributing to the event's success.

The organizers also highlighted the significant contribution of Bhupendra Pratap Singh in the successful organization of this ceremony. This event marks a positive initiative towards spreading literary consciousness and fostering respect for the national language Hindi in the district, with hopes for its continued continuation.
