Farrukhabad: 28 Beneficiaries Selected via E-Lottery Under Nand Baba Mission

Farrukhabad: July 28, 2026 - An e-lottery was conducted at the Farrukhabad Collectorate auditorium for the Chief Minister's Indigenous Cow Promotion Scheme, operating under the Nand Baba Milk Mission. Presided over by the District Magistrate, the process selected 28 beneficiaries from the district, comprising 14 women and 14 men.
Under this scheme, each selected beneficiary will receive two indigenous cows, valued at ₹2 lakh each. Farrukhabad district had been allocated a target of 28 beneficiaries for this program. A total of 451 applications were received to fulfill this target.
Selection Process and Scheme Objectives
Following a detailed verification, 425 applications were found to be eligible. Using the e-lottery system, 14 women and 14 men were ultimately chosen from the eligible applicants. The remaining 397 eligible applicants have been placed on a waiting list, which will be useful for future scheme expansions or vacancies.
The primary objective of the Chief Minister's Indigenous Cow Promotion Scheme is to boost milk production in the state and increase farmers' income. By emphasizing the promotion of indigenous cow breeds, the scheme encourages the conservation of local breeds alongside high-quality milk production. Beneficiaries are provided not only with cows but also with training and support related to animal husbandry to ensure the successful operation of their enterprise.
The e-lottery process ensures transparency and offers equal opportunities to all eligible applicants. The program was attended by Chief Development Officer Vinod Kumar Gaud, District Development Officer S.K. Tiwari, Chief Veterinary Officer Dr. Dheeraj Kumar Sharma, Deputy Chief Veterinary Officer Dr. Bhupendra Singh, Senior Milk Inspector and Nand Baba Milk Mission Nodal Officer Nandlal Verma, and other concerned officials.
