District Administration Mobilizes After Major Bus Accident

The district administration in Damoh district, Madhya Pradesh, has become fully active following a serious bus accident on October 10, 2026. Upon receiving information about the incident, Collector Pratap Narayan Yadav immediately dispatched the Subdivision Magistrate (SDM) to the accident site, directing them to oversee relief and rescue operations.

The administrative machinery carried out the rescue operations with utmost promptness. While the accident has deeply shaken the public, the administration's swift action helped expedite relief and rescue efforts. The accident has understandably caused distress, but the administration's quick response provided a much-needed boost to relief and rescue work.

Collector Assesses Injured and Pledges Support

Collector Pratap Narayan Yadav visited the district hospital to meet Nitya Sen, a student injured in the bus accident. He offered comfort to the student and assured her of the best possible medical treatment. The Collector also obtained detailed information from the attending physicians regarding the student's health condition.

Doctors at the hospital reported that all necessary examinations for Nitya Sen have been completed and her treatment is ongoing. Nitya's family had appealed to the administration for all possible assistance, and the Collector reassured them of full support.

Further Assistance and Condolences

The Collector also met with another injured individual, Devkaran, admitted to the district hospital. Devkaran complained of pain, prompting the Collector to issue necessary instructions to the physicians for his proper treatment. Health officials were directed to ensure Devkaran experienced no discomfort and that his treatment was conducted without any negligence.

Present on the occasion were Bharatiya Janata Party District President Shyam Shivhare and Manish Tiwari, who expressed their sorrow over the incident and extended their sympathies to the victims. The Collector conveyed his deep condolences to the families of the students who lost their lives in the accident.

He assured a fair investigation into the matter, stating that necessary directives have been issued to the concerned officials and no guilty party will be spared. He assured the families that strict action will be taken against whoever is found responsible for this tragic incident.

Financial Aid Distributed

As part of the relief efforts, a cheque of ten thousand rupees was handed over as immediate assistance to the families of the injured students in the Abhana bus accident. This financial aid was provided to the families at the hospital by SDM Damoh Sanjay Dubey.

The administration has pledged to provide all possible cooperation to all victims, including further medical assistance and other necessary help. This swift action has offered some measure of relief to the victims' families.
