CM Yogi Launches 'Har Ghar Tiranga' Campaign in UP, Aiming for 5 Crore Homes
Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has launched the 'Har Ghar Tiranga' campaign to foster national unity and patriotism, targeting five crore households.

Campaign Inaugurated to Foster Patriotism
In a move to infuse the Independence Day celebrations with national unity and patriotism, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath grandly launched the 'Har Ghar Tiranga' campaign in Lucknow on Sunday. The nationwide initiative aims to connect every citizen with respect for the national flag and the nation's integrity on the occasion of Independence Day.
Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath flagged off a 'Tiranga Yatra' (Tricolor March) from his residence at 5 Kalidas Marg to Lok Bhawan near the Assembly. The procession saw enthusiastic participation from elected representatives, party officials, youth, and the general public. Participants, holding the national flag, filled the atmosphere with patriotic slogans, paying homage to the heroes and martyrs of India's freedom struggle.
Extensive Nationwide Campaign Planned
This nationwide campaign will be conducted extensively across the state from August 9th to August 17th. Various programs will be organized in villages, towns, and cities to inspire people to hoist the tricolor at their homes, establishments, and public places. Special events will also be held during the campaign to express gratitude to freedom fighters and heroes who sacrificed everything for the nation.
In the state capital, Lucknow, a detailed plan has been prepared for all 110 wards, 25 mandals, and 2515 booths to ensure the success of this campaign. 'Tiranga Yatras', public outreach drives, and awareness programs are being organized to ensure active participation from local workers and citizens.
Target to Reach Five Crore Homes
The Uttar Pradesh government and the ruling organization have made extensive preparations to extend this campaign to every citizen of the state. An ambitious target has been set to deliver the tricolor to approximately five crore homes across all 75 districts of the state and have them hoisted on Independence Day. To achieve this, the campaign has been activated at the booth level, ensuring maximum family participation in this national festival.
Through this initiative, the youth and the new generation, in particular, are being educated about the glorious history of the freedom movement, the contributions of countless freedom fighters who sacrificed their lives for the country, and the significance of the national flag. Organizers firmly believe that the tricolor is not just the national flag, but a living symbol of the country's freedom, sovereignty, unity, and the collective identity of every citizen.
Special Honor for Freedom Fighters
A significant aspect of the 'Har Ghar Tiranga' campaign is to express respect towards freedom fighters and their families. On this occasion, efforts will be made at the local level to disseminate stories of historical anecdotes and sacrifices related to the freedom movement to the masses. Schools, colleges, and various social organizations are also being integrated into this national campaign to ensure collective participation.
In addition to 'Tiranga Yatras', the campaign will also include 'Prabhat Pheris' (morning processions), public awareness programs, patriotic cultural events, and flag-hoisting ceremonies at important locations. The primary objective of these events is to convey the message of celebrating Independence Day not just as a formal occasion, but as a vibrant festival of national pride, unity, and the collective responsibility of citizens.
Preparations to Observe August 14 as Partition Horrors Remembrance Day
As part of the nationwide campaign, August 14th will also be observed as 'Partition Horrors Remembrance Day'. On this day, silent marches, seminars, and memorial events will be organized in various parts of the country. Millions of people who suffered displacement, violence, and pain during the traumatic period of Partition will be remembered, and the new generation will be familiarized with that historical tragedy to help them understand the value of the nation's present.
Senior leaders of the government and the organization have instructed party workers to ensure the campaign's reach extends beyond major cities to rural and booth levels. Special emphasis is being placed on increasing the participation of local representatives, social organizations, and common citizens to transform this campaign into a movement for all.
Message of Unity and Harmony with the Tricolor
The 'Tiranga Yatra' that began from the Chief Minister's residence in Lucknow is being viewed as the launch of this nationwide campaign to be conducted across the entire state. Through this comprehensive campaign, running from August 9th to August 17th, efforts are being made to connect the Independence Day atmosphere in Uttar Pradesh with the highest levels of patriotism and public participation. The message of this journey, initiated under the leadership of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, is being prepared to be conveyed from the capital to every district of the state.
The ultimate goal is for the national flag, the tricolor, to fly proudly on millions of homes in Uttar Pradesh on the auspicious occasion of Independence Day, and for the 'Har Ghar Tiranga' campaign to prove to be a widespread public movement for national unity, patriotism, and unwavering respect for freedom fighters.
