Indefinite Protest Enters Seventh Day in Chichali

The indefinite protest by Chichali Janpad President Smt. Radha Kamlesh Ahirwar at the Janpad Panchayat office premises continued for its seventh consecutive day on Monday. Despite a week passing, there has been no concrete assurance from the administration, signaling a potential intensification of the agitation.

Various social organizations, elected representatives, and local citizens have converged at the protest site, extending their support to President Ahirwar.

Serious Allegations Against CEO Abhishek Gupta

President Ahirwar has raised grave accusations against Shri Abhishek Gupta, the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Chichali Janpad Panchayat. She is demanding his immediate removal from the post.

Her primary accusation states that the CEO's conduct is disrespectful towards elected representatives, directly hindering Janpad Panchayat's development projects and administrative efficiency.

Claims of Discrimination and Disregard for Authority

A significant allegation made by the President, who belongs to the Scheduled Caste community and is an elected woman representative, is facing discriminatory, insulting, and caste-based ("untouchability-like") behavior.

She claims the CEO frequently occupies the President's chair during meetings, even in her presence, and refuses to vacate it despite objections. Furthermore, employees are allegedly barred from sharing information regarding public interest and official duties when requested by the President.

President Ahirwar also alleges that the CEO discourages villagers from approaching her, instructing them to "directly tell him their problems, not the President."

Administrative Paralysis and Development Delays

The President highlights that general assembly meetings of the Janpad Panchayat are not held regularly or as per regulations. She claims the CEO has been absent from most meetings over the past year, attending only two, which has severely impacted development work.

She also noted a lack of expected cooperation from the CEO when discussing solutions for problems faced by Gram Panchayat Sarpanchs, Secretaries, and beneficiaries.

Further allegations include unjustified deductions from Gram Panchayat Secretaries' salaries, delays in Sambal Yojana registrations and ex-gratia payments, and the prolonged withholding of payments for retired employees.

Files related to official work are reportedly taken home by the CEO for several days, creating difficulties for both citizens and staff.

Serious Charges of Harassment and Alleged Financial Demands

A particularly grave accusation concerns the case of late Shri Ganeshprasad Kaurav, the Gram Panchayat Secretary of Chhainakachhar-B. President Ahirwar asserts that he endured severe mental harassment due to official pressure despite poor health.

She has demanded an impartial investigation and action in this matter. It was also noted that the District Panchayat Secretary Association had previously staged a protest and submitted a memorandum regarding this incident.

Other allegations include the long-pending compassionate appointment file of Shri Amit Bilothiya and alleged "economic demands" made to Gram Panchayats for various works. The CEO is also accused of shifting blame onto officials for his own errors.

President Ahirwar claims the CEO often invokes his "previous administrative experience" to exert influence and justifies decisions by stating they are "instructions from senior officials."

Growing Support and Call for Government Action

Representatives of the social organizations present at the protest site have warned that if the administration does not promptly address the issue and take appropriate action, the agitation will be intensified and broadened.

As of the time of reporting, CEO Shri Abhishek Gupta's statement regarding these allegations has not been received. The Cliff News assures that his perspective will be published prominently once available.

The ongoing protest within the Janpad Panchayat premises remains a significant topic of discussion in the region, with all eyes now fixed on the administration's subsequent actions.

What to Watch Next

All attention is now on the Narsinghpur district administration and state government to see if they will intervene to address the serious allegations against the Chichali Janpad CEO. The potential for the protest to escalate into a wider movement, as warned by supporting organizations, remains a key development to monitor. Observers also await the CEO's official response to the accusations.
