Murder Near Ganga Dhaba

In the Qadri Gate police station area of Farrukhabad, unknown assailants traveling in a car shot and killed a property dealer near Ganga Dhaba on the Etawah-Bareilly highway. The incident occurred when 32-year-old Arun Kumar Singh was returning from Varanasi with his two-year-old son, Jayant, and wife, Rakhi, in their private car.

According to the police, Arun Kumar Singh had stopped at a grocery store near Ganga Dhaba to buy chocolate for his son and a cold drink for himself. As soon as the car stopped, another car without a license plate pulled up behind it. Two assailants from this car fired multiple shots at Arun Singh, who was critically injured.

Prompt Action and Hospitalization

Upon receiving information, the Qadri Gate police rushed to the scene. The injured Arun Singh was immediately taken to the local Dr. Ram Manohar Lohia Hospital, where doctors declared him dead. Following the incident, the Circle Officer (CO) City, Additional Superintendent of Police (ASP), and Superintendent of Police (SP) inspected the crime scene.

Authorities also visited the hospital to obtain detailed accounts of the incident from the deceased's wife, Rakhi. She stated that the family had traveled from Faridabad to Varanasi on July 24 and this tragic event occurred during their return journey. The family originally hails from Dayalpur village, Chandrawali police station, Faridabad.

Police Investigation and Teams Formed

Immediately after the incident, police began reviewing CCTV camera footage from the surrounding areas. Several police teams were deployed late at night to search for the accused. DIG Yamina Prasad personally inspected the crime scene and assessed the situation, confirming that a case has been registered under relevant sections for murder. Detailed questioning of the victim's wife is underway.

The DIG further stated that a total of five police teams, including surveillance and the SOG (Special Operations Group), have been formed to solve this sensational murder case. These teams are actively working to apprehend the culprits.
