Brother Accused of Home Invasion, Assault, and Death Threats

Woman Alleges Brother's Illegal Occupation of Home

In Chakmusepur village, under the jurisdiction of Sultanpur Ghosh police station in the Fatehpur district, a woman named Chandni Begum has leveled serious accusations against her own brother and his family. She claims they forcibly occupied her house and resorted to violence and death threats when she protested.

Chandni Begum has submitted a petition to the Superintendent of Police (SP), urging them to register a case against the accused and take swift legal action.

Allegations of Violence and Threats

According to Chandni Begum, her brother, Niamatullah, moved into her house approximately a month ago, stating he would leave once he built his own home. However, on the evening of September 13th, around 4:30 PM, when Chandni asked her brother to vacate the premises, Niamatullah allegedly began arguing and using abusive language.

Chandni further claims that during this altercation, Niamatullah's wife, Tahseen Begum, along with Gufran, Sehayatullah, and Manzar Ahmed's wife, arrived armed with sticks. They are accused of verbally abusing the victim, threatening to kill her, and physically overpowering her, throwing her to the ground and then brutally assaulting her.

When Chandni's husband, Ilyas Ahmed, intervened to protect his wife, the accused are alleged to have assaulted him as well. Chandni sustained a shoulder injury, while her husband suffered injuries to other parts of his body.

Questions on Police Action, Plea to SP

Chandni stated that a written complaint was lodged at the Sultanpur Ghosh police station regarding the incident. However, due to a perceived lack of expected action from the police, she has directly approached the Superintendent of Police.

The victim has requested the SP to conduct an impartial investigation and immediately register a report against her brother and the other accused, initiating legal proceedings. The police have indicated that the situation will become clear and appropriate action will be taken only after an investigation into the allegations.
