Bhopal Municipal Corporation Intensifies Anti-Encroachment Drive, Seizes Numerous Carts and Goods

Corporation Continues Crackdown on Encroachments

The Bhopal Municipal Corporation is maintaining its consistent action against encroachments and illegal constructions across the city. In line with this ongoing effort, the corporation's anti-encroachment squad has removed illegal occupations in various parts of the city, addressing complaints received through different channels and conducting routine operations.

Acting under the directives of Corporation Commissioner Mrs. Sanskriti Jain, the squad conducted a special campaign in numerous areas. These included Bitthel Market, 10 Number Stop, 5 Number Stop, Link Road No. 1, 2, 3, Bharat Mata Square, Suraj Nagar, Bhadbhada Road, Nehru Nagar Sudama Nagar, Nehru Nagar Kopil School, Kotra Sultanaabad, Bawadia Kalan, M.P. Nagar Zone-1, Jahangirabad, Retghat, Ravindra Bhavan, Hamidia Road, Railway Station Platform No. 6, Bhopal Gate, Golghar, Collector Office, Eidgah Hills, V.I.P. Guest House, Bairagarh CTO, Airport Road Data Colony, Gandhi Nagar Square, Gandhi Nagar Sindhi Market, Gandhi Nagar Mahavir Ward, Asharam Tiraha, Karond Square, Bhopal Memorial Hospital, Peoples Mall, Bhanpur Square, Bhanpur Bridge, Bhanpur Patel Market, and Bhanpur Shiv Nagar.

Demolitions and Seizures in Anti-Encroachment Drive

During the campaign, illegal platforms built over drains in Sindhi Market and Nehru Nagar Sudama Nagar were removed. A permanent column erected on government land in Gandhi Nagar Mahavir Ward was also demolished. Similarly, an illegally constructed tin shed in Bairagarh CTO Kailash Nagar, a temporary tin hut near Nehru Nagar Kopil School, and slabs placed over drains in Bhanpur Shiv Nagar were dismantled.

The Municipal Corporation's team cleared goods displayed outside shops, roadside vegetable stalls, and a large number of carts, kiosks, paan parlors, counters, boards, tables, chairs, and other encroachments. In this operation, the corporation seized various items, including 6 carts, 2 counters, 1 platform, 1 weighing scale, 1 electric scale, 2 lights, 2 kadhais (woks), 1 green net, 11 plastic sheets, 12 tables, 1 stool, 1 board, 3 iron cages, 2 chicken nets, 1 frame, 16 crates, and an iron box.

Support for Waqf Board Action

Additionally, the Municipal Corporation, in collaboration with the Madhya Pradesh Waqf Board, assisted in vacating a house within the Eidgah Masjid complex. This action underscores the corporation's commitment to promptly resolving complaints and making the city free from encroachments.
