Bhopal Corporation Enforces Cleanliness and Order with Spot Fines

In its ongoing efforts to maintain a clean and accessible city, the Bhopal Municipal Corporation has taken decisive action, collecting a total of Rs 9,000 in spot fines across four cases for various violations. These actions primarily target instances where construction materials obstruct public pathways and traffic flow.

A significant penalty of Rs 5,000 was levied on an individual in Chowk Bazaar, Ibrahimpura main road, under Ward No. 20, Zone No. 04. The obstruction was caused by the improper placement of building materials, including sand and gravel, on the road, which not only impeded movement but also blocked a drainage line.

Further Enforcement Actions

In addition to the road obstruction, the health department of the Municipal Corporation also issued fines totaling Rs 4,000 in three other cases. These violations included littering, the spread of construction and demolition waste, the use of single-use plastics/polythene, and property defacement within Zone No. 01.

These enforcement measures were carried out under the directives of Corporation Commissioner Mrs. Sanskriti Jain, underscoring the administration's commitment to enhancing the city's sanitation standards. The Commissioner has emphasized continuous monitoring of cleanliness drives and the maintenance of order in subordinate areas. These consistent actions highlight the corporation's seriousness in preserving the city's hygiene and public order, ensuring that violators face regular penalties.
