Enhanced Sports Facilities for Bhind Youth

Youth and athletes in Bhind are soon to benefit from high-level sports facilities. An indoor-outdoor stadium and a synthetic track will be constructed at the Rajiv Gandhi Sports Complex in the district, with an estimated cost of around ₹13.52 crore. This project aims to provide a new platform for developing local sporting talent.

Project Advancements and Ministerial Consultation

In a significant step towards building this crucial sports infrastructure, local MLA Narendra Singh Kushwah met with the Minister for Sports and Youth Welfare, Vishwas Sarang, in Bhopal. MLA Kushwah urged the minister to expedite the commencement of the construction work.

He emphasized that this project would significantly boost the local youth's passion for sports and prepare them for national-level competition.

Minister Vishwas Sarang assured the MLA that Madhya Pradesh Building Development Corporation Limited has been assigned the responsibility for this project as the construction agency. He stated that the corporation's surveyors would soon visit Bhind to conduct a detailed survey of the synthetic track's construction site.

This survey is vital to ensure the track is built according to international standards, providing athletes with the best possible training environment.

Budget Allocation and Project Details

The total budget for this project is ₹13.52 crore. Of this amount, ₹6 crore will be allocated for the construction of the indoor-outdoor stadium, while ₹7.52 crore is designated for the synthetic track. This dual allocation reflects the overall development of the sports complex and its capacity to accommodate various sporting activities.

The stadium will feature facilities for various indoor sports, while the outdoor playing fields will also be modernized. Madhya Pradesh Building Development Corporation Limited, with its experience in executing such significant projects, will oversee the quality and timely completion of the construction.

Following the preliminary survey by the surveyors, construction work is expected to begin shortly. Active cooperation from the local administration and the sports department is also anticipated to ensure the project progresses smoothly.

Benefits for Youth and Army Recruitment

MLA Narendra Singh Kushwah highlighted the project's importance, stating that the modern synthetic track would particularly benefit youth preparing for army recruitment. The track will provide essential facilities for improved training and performance, enhancing their physical fitness and running speed.

Currently, young individuals often have to travel to other cities for army recruitment practice. This new facility will resolve that issue. Furthermore, the indoor-outdoor stadium will become a key hub for organizing and training for various sports like badminton, basketball, volleyball, kabaddi, and athletics.

This initiative is expected to promote a strong sports culture in the district, offering young talent opportunities to prove their potential. It is anticipated that players from Bhind district will achieve better results in various state and national-level competitions, bringing pride to the district.
