Bhind SP Takes Charge of Traffic Management, Conducts Foot Inspection of Indira Gandhi Chowk

SP Directs Efforts to Alleviate City Traffic Woes

In a move to alleviate the growing traffic problems and congestion plaguing Bhind city, Superintendent of Police (SP) Suraj Kumar Verma personally took charge of the traffic management system on Tuesday. He conducted an unscheduled inspection of the city's traffic arrangements along with police personnel.

During the inspection, SP Verma meticulously examined the systems at the Indira Gandhi Chowk, considered the city's busiest intersection, by conducting a foot survey. He was accompanied by Traffic In-charge Raghavendra Bhargav and local police force. The SP issued necessary on-the-spot directives to the Traffic In-charge to facilitate smooth traffic flow on main routes and intersections, emphasizing that smooth traffic is a top priority.

Crackdown on Encroachment and Illegal Parking Ordered

Given the persistent traffic jams at Indira Gandhi Chowk, SP Suraj Kumar Verma issued strict orders that no temporary encroachment around the chowk will be tolerated. Furthermore, a stern warning was issued to motorists parking haphazardly and shopkeepers obstructing the road by displaying goods outside their establishments. The SP stated that violators would face legal action as per rules.

Specific Instructions Issued to Traffic In-charge

During the inspection, SP Verma provided several key directives to Traffic In-charge Raghavendra Bhargav. These primarily included ensuring regular deployment of traffic police personnel at and around the chowk. Additionally, instructions were given to designate specific areas for auto-rickshaws and handcarts to prevent them from causing obstructions on the main road.

A suggestion was also made to launch a special campaign to strictly enforce traffic rules such as helmet use, seatbelt compliance, and adherence to no-parking zones. Traffic In-charge Raghavendra Bhargav informed the SP that new initiatives are underway to identify parking spaces, which will aid in maintaining smooth arrangements at the chowk. The SP's surprise inspection has reportedly caused a stir among the city's motorists and encroachers.
