In a public grievance redressal session held at the Bhind Collectorate on Tuesday, September 22, 2026, 129 citizens from across the district submitted applications detailing their various concerns. Senior officials, including Collector Mrs. Ruchika Chauhan, Chief Executive Officer of the District Panchayat Sojan Singh Rawat, Additional Collectors C.B. Prasad and Anil Banwariya, personally heard all applications.
The primary objective of this session was to provide citizens with an accessible platform to directly present their complaints and suggestions regarding government departments to administrative officers. Of the 129 applications received, 71 have been officially registered, while the remaining 58 have been forwarded to the concerned departmental officers with necessary directives.
Focus on Revenue and Basic Amenities
The majority of cases brought forward during the session pertained to the revenue department, the municipal corporation, electricity supply, and the police department. Collector Mrs. Ruchika Chauhan issued strict instructions to all Subdivisional Magistrates (SDMs) and Tehsildars for the prompt resolution of land-related disputes. She emphasized that such cases should be prioritized and that unnecessary delays should be avoided.
Furthermore, municipal corporation officials were directed to give immediate attention to complaints related to basic amenities such as drinking water, sewage, and roads within the municipal corporation area. The administration also took action to provide immediate relief to needy applicants, ensuring the arrangement of free medical facilities in some cases.
Resolution Expected Within Deadlines
The administration has instructed all relevant departments to complete action on the received applications within the stipulated deadlines. This aims to ensure that citizens do not have to repeatedly visit government offices and that their issues are resolved satisfactorily. This public grievance redressal session proved to be a significant platform for resolving the problems of the district's residents, bringing administrative accountability closer to the general public.
