Encroachment Drive in Bhind: Strict Action Taken Against 15 Shopkeepers

Following strict directives from Collector Kirodi Lal Meena, the Bhind Municipality has conducted an anti-encroachment campaign in the city's major commercial markets. Led by Municipality CMO Veerendra Chakravarti, the anti-encroachment team took decisive action against shopkeepers illegally extending their businesses onto the roads.

During this operation, a total of ₹5300 was collected as fines from 15 shopkeepers, and their goods were also confiscated. The campaign commenced at the Dhanwanti Complex in Batasha Bazaar, where the hawkers' zone was inspected.

Facilitating Traffic Flow and Strict Enforcement

With the objective of ensuring smooth traffic flow, instructions were issued to remove the wall of the hawkers' zone. This aims to ensure that vendors conduct their business within the designated areas rather than on the main thoroughfare.

The Municipality team extended its action from Bhuta Bazaar, Santoshi Mata Road, and Pustak Bazaar up to Khanda Road. During the inspection, many shopkeepers were found displaying their goods outside their shops, extending onto the road and causing inconvenience to pedestrians.

Fines and Seizures as Markets Face Disruption

In response, the team took action against four shopkeepers in Bhuta Bazaar, six on Santoshi Mata Mandir Road, and five on Khanda Road, issuing them challans. Goods encroaching on the road on Khanda Road were seized and loaded into a Municipality vehicle.

Officials issued a stern warning to all traders against any future road encroachments. The Municipality administration's action led to a state of stir in the markets.

Emphasis on Traffic and Continuous Action

This special campaign involved Municipality CMO Veerendra Chakravarti, along with Nodal Officer Ravindra Pal Singh Bhadauria, Upper Grade Clerk Sher Singh Baghel, Assistant Revenue Inspector Ramnresh Rajput, Timekeepers Avinash Chauhan and Vikram Soni, and the entire Municipality staff.

Officials clarified that any form of encroachment obstructing traffic in the city will not be tolerated. Surprise inspections and actions of this nature will continue in the future. Traders have been instructed to conduct their business strictly within their shop's boundaries.
