Attempt to Murder Accused Apprehended Swiftly in Bhind

The police in Mehgaon police station, Bhind district, have successfully arrested an accused absconding in an attempt to murder case within 24 hours of the incident. The police also recovered a 315 bore country-made pistol and an empty cartridge casing, believed to be used in the crime, from the accused.

The incident reportedly occurred on the intervening night of August 2-3. Karru alias Vedprakash, a resident of Kauhar, was brought to the Community Health Centre in Mehgaon with injuries and provided a verbal complaint to the police. According to the complaint, he had a dispute with an accused from his village over outstanding payments for petrol and diesel.

Case Registered and Investigation Underway

Based on the injured Vedprakash's complaint, the police registered a case against the accused at the Mehgaon police station under sections 109(1), 296(B), and 3(5) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC), crime number 215/26, and commenced investigation. The police took immediate action and formed a special team to apprehend the absconding accused.

Arrest Made Based on Informant's Tip

On Tuesday, acting on information received from an informant, the police took swift action and apprehended the accused near Mau Road, in Kauhar village. During police interrogation, the accused confessed to the crime. The police recovered the 315 bore country-made pistol and an empty cartridge casing used to commit the incident from the accused.

Currently, the police are preparing to present the accused before the court. The successful operation involved significant contributions from Station House Officer Ravindra Sharma, along with Sub-Inspector Vivek Sharma, Head Constables Pradeep Pachauri, Satendra Sharma, Shivbeer Singh, and Constables Samant Singh Tomar, Matwar, Dinesh Mugal, Ramkhiladi, Hemant, Pankaj Singh Jadon, and Udaybhan Singh Tomar.
