Intensified Campaign Against Illegal Liquor Operations

The Bhind district administration and Excise Department have launched a comprehensive special campaign targeting the illicit liquor trade. This initiative has been undertaken with utmost seriousness, following the tragic deaths due to poisonous liquor consumption in Sagar district recently.

The primary objective of this campaign is to completely curb activities such as the manufacturing, storage, sale, and transportation of illegal alcohol within the district. Enforcement agencies are implementing stringent surveillance measures across various areas to prevent the production and distribution of contraband liquor.

Appeals for Public Vigilance and Reporting

District Excise Officer Mahesh Kumar Gaur has appealed to citizens to purchase liquor exclusively from government-licensed outlets. He emphasized that consuming alcohol from unverified or illegal sources can prove fatal, highlighting that the preservation of life is paramount.

In a bid to dismantle the network of illegal liquor, the administration is actively seeking the cooperation of the general public. Citizens are urged to report any suspicious activity or information related to illicit liquor in any part of the district to the department immediately.

The department has assured that the identity of the informant will be kept completely confidential, encouraging them to share information without fear. For assistance, individuals can contact District Excise Officer Mahesh Kumar Gaur at 9340590515. Information can also be provided to Control Room In-charge K.L. Bhagora (9755619518), Circle In-charge Krishan Kant Sharma (9547229849), Narendra Kumar Prajapati (7987479677), and Ajit Yadav (8770566082).

Commitment to Ongoing Enforcement and Legal Action

The administration has clarified that this campaign will continue indefinitely to prevent any future untoward incidents. Strict legal action will be ensured against those found guilty, reinforcing the commitment to public safety.
