Law and Order Review Meeting
To further strengthen law and order in Bareilly and in anticipation of upcoming VIP events, the Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) held a crucial review meeting with police officials via Google Meet on Monday. The meeting was attended by several officials, including the Additional Superintendent of Police, Circle Officers, Station House Officers, and Traffic Inspectors.
The SSP issued strict directives to ensure no negligence whatsoever in the public grievance redressal process. He emphasized that the timely and quality resolution of complaints from citizens arriving at police stations is extremely important. He further clarified that any negligence at any level in handling public grievances will not be tolerated.
Enhanced Night Patrolling and Picket Duty
Concerns were raised during the meeting regarding the increase in incidents such as theft and burglary in the district. To curb these, the police department has decided to increase night patrolling and picket duty. Officials have been instructed to intensify checks on suspicious individuals.
Furthermore, based on the analysis of previously registered incidents, prompt arrests of criminals are to be ensured to enhance the sense of security among the general public. This proactive approach aims to deter criminal activities and restore public confidence.
Investigation into Old Explosives Act Cases
Another significant point of discussion was old cases related to the Explosives Act. The SSP has ordered a detailed verification of all cases registered over the past ten years. Additionally, licenses for explosive materials and their storage will also be thoroughly investigated.
The primary objective of this measure is to ensure full compliance with safety standards and to prevent any potential threats. This comprehensive review seeks to address any lapses and reinforce safety protocols across the district.
Preparations for November 3 VIP Arrival
In view of the proposed arrival of dignitaries in the district on November 3, 2026, a detailed action plan has been prepared for security and traffic management. Under this plan, Super Zone, Zone, and Sector arrangements will be implemented.
Necessary and clear guidelines have been issued to the concerned officials regarding police force deployment, crowd control, traffic diversions, and parking arrangements. The SSP has mandated all officials to give utmost priority to security arrangements and ensure strict compliance with the given directives. In case of any lapse, the concerned official will be held directly responsible.
