Bareilly SSP Reshuffles Six Police Officers' Jurisdictions
Bareilly | November 2, 2026
To further strengthen law and order in Bareilly district and ensure improved functioning within the police administration, Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Anurag Arya has reshuffled the jurisdictions of six inspectors and sub-inspectors.
The transfer orders, issued by the SSP on November 3, 2026, assign new responsibilities to police personnel in line with vacant positions and administrative adjustments. The primary objective of these transfers is to enhance policing efficiency across the district and prioritize citizen safety.
This administrative reshuffling, effective from November 3, is a significant step towards elevating the efficiency within the police department. Each officer has been assigned new duties based on their expertise and experience to enable them to provide better services in their respective areas.
SSP Anurag Arya believes that such regular reshuffles maintain freshness within the police force, allowing officers to work with renewed energy.
New Appointments in the Police Department
According to the issued order, Inspector Ravi Kumar has been moved from Station House Officer (SHO) of Mirganj to take charge of CB Ganj. This is a significant transfer as both Mirganj and CB Ganj are important police station areas where the police play a crucial role in maintaining law and order.
In a similar vein, Inspector Ajay Pratap Singh has been transferred from the Reserve Police Line to take up the responsibility of Crime Inspector at Mirganj police station. The position of Crime Inspector directly impacts the police's investigative capabilities and their ability to curb criminal activities.
Furthermore, Inspector Karun Kumar will now serve as the Crime Inspector at the CB Ganj police station. This will ensure that crime control receives special attention in the CB Ganj area as well.
Inspector Manoj Kumar has been appointed as the SHO of Shergarh, aimed at strengthening the policing arrangements in the Shergarh region. As SHO, Manoj Kumar will bear the significant responsibility of maintaining peace and order at the local level.
As part of this administrative reshuffling, Sub-Inspector Umesh Kumar Rai has been appointed as the Station House Officer (SHO) of Visharatganj, transferred from Faridpur. As SHO, Umesh Kumar Rai will command the law and order and policing for the Visharatganj area.
Additionally, Inspector Pramod Kumar has been transferred from Visharatganj and posted to the Circle Officer (CO) Highway office. As CO Highway, Pramod Kumar will play a vital role in traffic management on the highway and ensuring security in related areas.
These transfers, made by SSP Anurag Arya, are considered a significant step towards better operational management within the police administration and effective distribution of responsibilities across various police stations. Following their new postings, the concerned officers are expected to maintain law and order in their respective jurisdictions and make policing more effective.
These changes are part of efforts to bring administrative rigor to the police department, which will directly benefit the district's public. It is hoped that these new appointments will further strengthen the security environment in Bareilly and increase public trust in the police.
