The Balrampur Taekwondo team delivered an outstanding performance at the state-level competition held in Sultanpur from September 11 to 13, organized by the Uttar Pradesh Taekwondo Association. They proudly secured a total of 14 medals, comprising nine gold, three silver, and two bronze, bringing recognition to the district.
Dominance Across Categories
Balrampur athletes demonstrated remarkable skill across various age and weight categories, leaving a significant impression. The achievement of nine gold medals was a major triumph for the team. Samyak Rajkamal, Hariom Kashyap, Saniya Khan, Pranjal Gupta, Arihant Pandey, Arham Rahman, Manish Kumar, Advait Gaurav, and Ayan Rana clinched gold medals, strengthening the team's position. Additionally, Ansh Gupta, Akshat Rana, and Adhyatm Pratap Pal earned silver medals after intense bouts, while Aman Pandey and Azlan Rahman added to the medal tally with their bronze wins.
Looking Ahead to National Competitions
Upon their return, the triumphant athletes received a warm welcome at the indoor hall of the Balrampur Taekwondo Academy, amidst an atmosphere of excitement. Chief Coach Ziaul Hashmat lauded their performance, stating that they proved their superiority in tough competition, a testament to years of hard work. District association officials also congratulated the medalists and wished them similar success in the upcoming national competitions. The enthusiasm among sports enthusiasts in the district highlights the growing standard of Taekwondo in Balrampur, with the medal winners now preparing for national events.
