Health Session Inspection Highlights Vaccination and High-Risk Pregnancy Tracking

Balrampur | September 16, 2026. To strengthen maternal and child health services in Balrampur district, District Magistrate Dr. Vipin Kumar Jain inspected a special Village Health, Sanitation, and Nutrition Day (VHSND) session. The session was held in the village of Dandav in the Tulsipur development block.

During the inspection, the District Magistrate reviewed the progress of vaccinations for children and pregnant women. He conducted a thorough review of the vaccination system and the tracking mechanism for High-Risk Pregnant (HRP) women. He instructed that 100% vaccination coverage be ensured while checking the records of ANMs and ASHA workers.

Emphasis on Tracking and Monitoring

The ANM present at the session reported that nine children and five women received vaccines. The District Magistrate placed special emphasis on the operation of the e-Kavach portal and the regular updating of the due list. He directed that the due list be continuously updated to track beneficiaries missed during vaccination.

Prioritizing High-Risk Pregnancies

Dr. Vipin Kumar Jain stressed the importance of identifying and regularly monitoring women with high-risk pregnancies. He specifically directed that ultrasonography (USG) tests for such women be conducted on a priority basis. ANMs and ASHA workers were instructed to ensure these women reach the health unit to complete the examination process.

The focus was on reducing maternal health risks through timely check-ups and medical consultations. The District Magistrate ordered that the list of every HRP woman be kept updated and their follow-ups continuously monitored. He stated that ensuring effective access to health and nutrition services at the village level is a top priority for the administration.

Strengthening the Health System

Additional Chief Medical Officer (ACMO) Ajay Shukla was also present during this inspection. He instructed the officials to prepare an action plan from now on to cover the missed beneficiaries in upcoming sessions. The need to strengthen the ground-level monitoring system to make the health system more active and effective was emphasized.
