Prompt Action and Arrest

In a swift operation, police in the Cant Police Station area of Guna district have arrested the main accused within 24 hours. He is alleged to have raped a young woman and blackmailed her by threatening to make her explicit photos and videos viral.

The case was registered with utmost seriousness by the police following a complaint from the victim. According to the information received, on October 29, 2026, the 18-year-old victim filed a complaint at the Cant Police Station against Anil Pal, 22, a resident of Rori village.

The victim alleges that Anil Pal raped her when he found her alone in the field and also took explicit photos and videos during the incident. Subsequently, the accused continuously pressured the victim for physical relations by threatening to make this objectionable material public.

Judicial Custody and Police Stance

Immediately after the victim's complaint, under the efficient leadership of Superintendent of Police Hitika Vasal and guidance from Additional Superintendent of Police Prashant Singh Suman, the Cant Police Station became active. A team was formed under the leadership of Station House Officer Anup Kumar Bhargav.

The police registered a case under Crime Number 1007/26, invoking sections 64(1) and 308(2) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), along with the Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes (Prevention of Atrocities) Act.

Considering the sensitivity of the case, the police launched raids on the probable hideouts of the accused, Anil Pal, utilizing technical resources and their informer network. As a result of the police's promptness and vigilance, on October 30, 2026, just 24 hours after the incident, the accused Anil son of Balram Pal was arrested.

After his arrest, legal procedures were completed, and the accused was produced before the court. The court has sent the accused to judicial custody in jail. The police administration has emphasized its 'Zero Tolerance' policy towards crimes against women in this case.

Sub-Inspector Arundhati Rajawat and other members of her team played a significant role in this swift action. The police have also appealed to the public to immediately report any kind of harassment or crime to the police without any fear, enabling prompt action.
