81 Outstanding Teachers Honored in Uttar Pradesh; CM Yogi Recognizes Excellence on Teacher's Day

State-Level Teacher Award Ceremony Held in Gorakhpur

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath honored 81 outstanding teachers from across the state at a grand ceremony in Gorakhpur on the occasion of Teacher's Day. The state-level award ceremony, held at the Yogiraj Baba Gambhirnath Prekshagriha, recognized educators for their exceptional contributions to the field of education.

Prestigious Awards Presented to Educators

Teachers were conferred with the State Teacher Award-2025 and the Chief Minister Teacher Award-2025. Notably, this was the first time the state-level teacher felicitation ceremony was organized in Gorakhpur instead of the capital, Lucknow, adding special significance to the event.

Distribution of Awards and Honorees

Out of the 81 honored teachers, 76 received the State Teacher Award-2025, while 5 were presented with the Chief Minister Teacher Award-2025. These awardees include 61 teachers from the Basic Education Department and 20 from the Secondary Education Department.

Significantly, 33 of the honored teachers were women, selected from various districts of the state. The ceremony saw a remarkable presence of teachers from across the state, underscoring their dedication to education.

Awardees received a certificate of appreciation, a memento, and a cash prize of ₹25,000. Additionally, selected teachers were granted free travel facility on Uttar Pradesh Roadways buses.
