Presidential Medals and Commendations Announced

On the eve of Independence Day 2026, the Indian government has announced that 20 police officers from Madhya Pradesh will be bestowed with national honors. Among them, four officers will receive the President's Medal for Distinguished Service, and 16 officers will be awarded the Medal for Meritorious Service.

Director General Congratulates Officers

Following the announcement of these awards, the Director General of Police (DGP) of the state, Mr. Kailash Makwana, extended his heartfelt congratulations to all the officers and staff being honored. The distribution of these medals for distinguished service by the President will take place during the Independence Day celebrations next year, on August 15, 2027.

Recognition for Exceptional Service

These honors highlight the exceptional dedication, efficiency, and outstanding performance demonstrated by members of the state police force throughout their service careers. This recognition underscores their commitment to upholding law and order and serving the public with distinction.

Recipients of the President's Medal for Distinguished Service

Four police officers have been named recipients of the President's Medal for Distinguished Service this year. These include Deputy Inspector General of Police Mr. Sunil Kumar Pandey, Superintendent of Police Mr. Dharamveer Singh, Inspector Mr. Anil Kumar Bhadauria, and Constable Mr. Raj Lochan Prasad Dubey. This medal is awarded to officers who have made extraordinary contributions to police service.

Officers to Receive Medal for Meritorious Service

A total of 16 police officers will be honored with the Medal for Meritorious Service. The list of recipients includes Deputy Inspector General of Police Ms. Simala Prasad, Superintendent of Police Mr. Yashpal Singh Rajput, Superintendent of Police Mr. Vijay Kumar Bhagwani, Inspector Mr. Harnarayan Jaiswal, Inspector Mr. Vijay Choudhary, Inspector Mr. Amit Jain, Inspector Mrs. Anita Kadam, Inspector Mrs. Rajni Tiwari, Sub-Inspector Dr. Santosh Yadav, Assistant Sub-Inspector Mr. Dinesh Chand Nagar, Assistant Sub-Inspector Mr. Bhupendra Singh Bais, Head Constable Mr. Bhaskar Pratap Singh, Head Constable Mr. Bhag Singh Tomar, Head Constable Mr. Satya Narayan Yadav, Constable Mr. Santosh Kumar Nayak, and Constable Mr. Santosh Kumar Parihar. This medal is presented to officers who have performed distinguished and commendable work during their service.
