Continuous torrential rain in Bhind city has disrupted daily life, causing severe waterlogging on roads and in low-lying areas. The local administration has been mobilized to address the escalating situation.
Administration on Alert
Under the directives of Collector Kirodilal Meena, Additional District Magistrate (ADM) and the Municipal Council's officiating Chief Municipal Officer (CMO) inspected the affected areas. They closely examined heavily impacted zones including Indira Gandhi Chowk, Girgit Ki Pulia, Ater Road, Aloo Mandi, Bhim Nagar, Gandhi Nagar, and Housing Colony, where residents are facing significant hardships due to water accumulation.
Relief and Rescue Operations Underway
Officials instructed Municipal Council staff to immediately rectify the drainage systems and provide swift relief to citizens. With several homes flooded, making food arrangements difficult, the administration decided to assist affected families. Approximately 2,000 food packets were distributed to ensure no resident goes hungry during this crisis. Sub-Divisional Officer Akhilesh Sharma, Tehsildar Ranjeet Sikarwar, and Municipal Council employees were actively involved in the relief efforts.
Continuous Monitoring and Support
The administration has assured that the Municipal Council team will remain on 24-hour alert until weather conditions normalize. Affected areas will be continuously monitored, and essential relief materials will be provided as needed.
