Strict Action Against Illegal Colonies in Guna, Special Wing Established

The Cliff News | Guna | November 2, 2026

The administration in Guna has intensified its crackdown on the construction of illegal colonies. During a review meeting, Collector Kishor Kumar Kanyal issued clear directives stating that all necessary government permissions are mandatory before the development of any colony. He emphasized that such colonies should not be built on disputed, government, or tribal community land categories.

To address this issue with seriousness, a special investigation wing will be constituted within the municipality and the collectorate. This wing will monitor illegal constructions every week and ensure that regulations are not violated. Following the declaration of the Kanha Lake City in Raghunathpura as illegal, the Collector has ordered further action as per rules.

Festival Security and Agricultural Directives

In anticipation of the upcoming festivals, the administration has focused on security standards. All SDMs have been instructed to strictly enforce the Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) for firecracker shops. This includes maintaining adequate distance between shops and ensuring the arrangement of tin sheds for safety.

The Deputy Director of Agriculture has been directed to issue regular bulletins providing updated information to farmers regarding the availability and distribution of fertilizers. The objective is to ensure farmers receive accurate information in a timely manner and avoid confusion.

CM Helpline and Jan-Vishwas Abhiyan Review

The meeting also discussed the review of pending complaints under the CM Helpline. The Collector urged departmental officials to personally review complaints and emphasized their quality resolution. Instructions were also given to enter information regarding cases received under the Chief Minister Jan-Vishwas Abhiyan into the designated Google Sheet within the stipulated deadlines.

Grand Preparations for Guna Mahotsav

The administration also presented its detailed action plan for the upcoming Guna Mahotsav. This festival will feature devotional singing sessions, poetry recitals, and various cultural and creative activities. The Collector stated that the primary aim of this event is to provide a platform for students from local schools to showcase their talents.

Additionally, efforts will be made to popularize the state's rich cultural heritage among the masses through traditional attire and folk dances. All departments in the district have been instructed to work in coordination to make this event a success.
