Terror Plot at Jantar Mantar Foiled; ISI Modules Busted, Nine Arrested

Punjab Police have claimed to have foiled a major terror attack plan at Delhi's Jantar Mantar. In a significant development, police have busted two alleged terror modules linked to the ISI, leading to the arrest of nine individuals, including four minors.

According to the police, the arrested individuals were planning to carry out an attack during a demonstration at Jantar Mantar. During the operation, police recovered petrol bombs, pistols, live ammunition, and other suspicious materials from the accused.

Initial investigations suggest that these alleged module members were in contact with handlers based abroad. Currently, investigative agencies are working to connect the dots regarding the funding network, arms supply, and foreign contacts of these modules.

Attempt to Reconnoiter Sensitive Locations

Investigative agencies have also uncovered that the accused were gathering information about various sensitive locations. In this regard, efforts to send videos and other intelligence abroad by secretly placing cameras near railway tracks are also under investigation.

This incident is a cause for concern for security agencies, as it indicates that terror organizations were aiming to target major protest sites in the country. The alleged conspiracy to target such a sensitive location has put security agencies nationwide on high alert.

First Module Apprehended in Amritsar

According to the Punjab Police, the first module was apprehended in the Rajasansi area of Amritsar district. This module included Sukhman Singh and his three juvenile associates. Police are now attempting to identify and apprehend other individuals who were in contact with these arrested persons.

This operation represents a significant success against terror networks operating from across the border, as security agencies continuously monitor such networks. Police officials stated that further investigation is ongoing, and the entire network is being uncovered through interrogation of the arrested individuals.
