Tenant Apprehended in Suspected Woman's Death Case

The CB Ganj police station in Bareilly has arrested Yadram alias Bablu, a tenant who was absconding in connection with the suspicious death of a woman in Nandousi village. The accused was apprehended near the Jhumka intersection on the National Highway following information from an informant.

The incident dates back to June 26, 2026, when a complaint was filed alleging that the deceased's daughter was assaulted by the tenant, Yadram. The critically injured woman was rushed to the hospital, where doctors declared her dead. Initially, a case was registered under Section 103 (1) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) at the CB Ganj police station based on preliminary investigations.

Tenant's Statement and Police Action

During police interrogation, the 32-year-old accused, Yadram alias Bablu, presented his side of the story. He stated that he was residing as a tenant with his wife in the deceased's house in Nandousi. According to him, the deceased frequently visited their home, which had caused resentment from his wife. Yadram claimed he was vacating the premises on June 26, and a dispute arose when the deceased stopped him while he was moving his belongings.

The accused alleges that during this altercation, the woman consumed a poisonous substance. Based on evidence gathered during the investigation, the police have now added Section 108 of the IPC to the case. The police team involved in the arrest included Station Officer Vinod Singh, Head Constable Rajkumar Pandey, and Constable Saurav Malik.

Further Investigation Underway

Yadram, originally a resident of Tajpur village in the Kyoladiya police station area, has been presented in court after completing legal formalities. The police are conducting a thorough investigation to ascertain the full facts of the incident. Further legal proceedings will continue based on the collected evidence.
