Public Grievance Redressal Held in Gonda Sadar
In line with the objective to provide a single-point solution for public problems, a 'Sampurna Samadhan Diwas' (Complete Solution Day) was organized at the Gonda Sadar tehsil. Presided over by District Magistrate Priyanka Niranjan, the event saw the redressal of public grievances.
High Volume of Complaints Received and Resolved
A total of 110 applications were received during the event. Of these, 05 were resolved on the spot, demonstrating a commitment to immediate action. The remaining 105 complaints have been forwarded to the concerned departmental officials with strict instructions for quality resolution within the stipulated deadlines.
Objectives and Focus of the Initiative
The primary aim of this initiative is to ensure government schemes reach the general public and to resolve their complaints, thereby making justice more accessible to citizens. District Magistrate Priyanka Niranjan emphasized the formation of special teams for grievance redressal.
Ensuring Fairness and Transparency in Resolution
It will be mandatory to summon both parties involved in a dispute for a hearing during on-site investigations. For sensitive matters such as illegal encroachments, pathways ('chakroad'), drains, and ponds, the District Magistrate directed that joint teams of revenue and police personnel be dispatched to the location.
Emphasis on Quality and Accountability
The importance of ensuring photography and videography of the resolution process was also stressed to maintain transparency and prevent future disputes. The District Magistrate warned of strict action against officials found negligent in their duties. Emphasis was placed on the quality of complaint resolution, ensuring it is reflected on the ground, not just on paper. Citizen satisfaction is the administration's utmost priority.
Time-Bound Action and Special Instructions
Reports for all complaints are to be submitted to the tehsil office within the set timeframes. A time-bound methodology will be followed to ensure each complaint is seriously considered and satisfactorily resolved. Specifically, the District Magistrate ordered a focus on swift and effective resolution of land-related disputes, including illegal encroachments and 'chakroads'.
Joint Teams Deployed for Land Disputes
Given the sensitivity of these cases, joint teams from the Revenue and Police departments have been directed to proceed to the sites immediately. Efforts will be made to ensure these disputes are settled impartially and transparently. The actions of these joint teams will be regularly reviewed.
Officials Present and Departmental Coordination
Present at the event were Divisional Forest Officer Anurag Priyadarshi, Chief Medical Officer Dr. Santlal, Sub-Divisional Magistrate Sadar Jitendra Gautam, District Development Officer Aditya Tiwari, and Project Director DRDA Sushil Kumar Pandey, along with other departmental officials.
