Campaign Launched for Special Revision of Voter List in Farrukhabad

An important campaign has been initiated in Farrukhabad district under the special intensive revision-2026 of electoral rolls. The objective of this campaign is to make the district's voter list complete and up-to-date.

A meeting chaired by District Magistrate Dr. Ankur Lather was held in the Collectorate auditorium to review this special revision program. During the meeting, the voter lists of the district's four assembly constituencies were thoroughly examined, and emphasis was placed on including eligible citizens who were missed into the rolls for the upcoming elections.

Currently, a total of 11,79,254 voters are registered in Farrukhabad district. This includes 6,52,657 male, 5,26,576 female, and 21 third gender voters. To ensure the smooth conduct of the election process, a total of 977 polling centers and 1,642 polling stations have been established in the district.

Booth Level Officers to Conduct Physical Verification

Under this special campaign, Booth Level Officers (BLOs) will conduct door-to-door physical verification of every citizen. They will ensure the process of filling out Form-6 for eligible new voters is completed.

The District Magistrate has instructed all BLOs to conduct a comparative study between the previously prepared voter list and the data currently collected. If any voter's name is found missing from the list, the BLOs must immediately verify it and complete the process of re-inclusion.

Furthermore, the administration has issued directives to organize special camps to reach out to labor colonies and underprivileged sections of society. The aim of these camps is to ensure that no eligible citizen is left out of the registration process.

Political Parties Urged to Cooperate, Public Awareness Emphasized

For the success of this campaign, the administration has appealed for active cooperation from all recognized political parties in the district. The District Magistrate urged party representatives to provide full support to this revision work through their respective Booth Level Agents (BLAs) appointed at their booths.

Representatives from the Bahujan Samaj Party, Samajwadi Party, Bharatiya Janata Party, Aam Aadmi Party, Apna Dal (S), and Communist Party of India (CPI) participated in the meeting. Deputy District Election Officer Arun Kumar Singh and Additional Superintendent of Police Girish Kumar Singh were also present. Additionally, special emphasis was placed on spreading widespread public awareness through educational institutions and SWEEP (Systematic Voters' Education and Electoral Participation) activities, ensuring every eligible citizen can confirm their name on the voter list to exercise their right to vote.

Relevant officials have been given clear instructions to strictly adhere to the guidelines issued by the Election Commission.
