Police Bust Inter-State Gang in Swift Singrauli Robbery Case

Demonstrating remarkable efficiency and technological prowess in tackling serious and organized crime, Madhya Pradesh Police have solved the robbery at Kanchan Jewelers in Jayant, Singrauli, within a mere six hours. Three members of an inter-state gang were apprehended in connection with the sensational incident, with a significant quantity of looted cash, gold, silver, and weapons recovered.

According to a press release from the Police Headquarters, the accused threatened shop employees with pistols and revolvers to commit the crime. Two individuals were assaulted, and a shootout also occurred when they resisted. The incident sent shockwaves through the police department, prompting the formation of special teams under senior officers to track down the culprits and recover the stolen property.

Success Driven by CCTV Footage and Inter-State Coordination

Police teams, led by the Superintendent of Police Vindhyanagar, SDOP Morwa, and SDOP Chitrangi, meticulously analyzed CCTV footage from the crime scene and surrounding areas. Information regarding the suspects' movements and potential escape routes was gathered, leading to immediate action.

Given the gravity of the situation, Singrauli Police promptly contacted the police forces of Sonbhadra (Uttar Pradesh), Balrampur (Chhattisgarh), Garhwa, and Palamu (Jharkhand). Alerts were issued across inter-state borders and potential routes. Police teams conducted intensive checks and searches for suspects at bus stands, railway stations, and other sensitive locations.

Arrests Follow Chase and Accident

Acting on information from an informant, police began pursuing suspected motorcycles. During the chase, one of the accused's motorcycles crashed, resulting in injuries to two suspects who were immediately admitted to the hospital. In coordination with Uttar Pradesh Police, another gang member, injured during a retaliatory firing incident, was also arrested.

Recovery of Stolen Goods and Weapons

The arrested individuals were found in possession of:

• 205.410 grams of silver jewelry
• ₹1,04,200 in cash
• Two motorcycles
• One pistol
• Two revolvers
• One mobile phone

Police are interrogating the arrested suspects to identify other gang members and their network. Special teams have been dispatched to various states to apprehend the remaining culprits and recover the rest of the stolen valuables. Further legal proceedings in this case are ongoing.
