Angan Milan Ceremony Celebrates Milestones

A grand Angan Milan ceremony was organized in Bareilly as part of the Service Sankalp Campaign. The event aimed to highlight the achievements of Prime Minister Narendra Modi's twenty-five years in public life. During the ceremony, traditional baby shower rituals for pregnant women and the Annaprashan (first solid food) ceremony for infants were conducted.

The event, organized by the Child Development Services and Nutrition Department, saw the presence of local public representatives and officials. Among those who attended were MP Chhatrapal Gangwar, MLA Sanjeev Agarwal, District Panchayat President Rashmi Patel, and SDM Sadar Ishita Kishore. The ceremonies were performed according to traditional customs, with Anganwadi workers enlivening the atmosphere with traditional Sohar songs.

Health and Nutrition Focus

The program also featured a 'Healthy Baby Competition,' where Avantika, Mantasha, and Anaya were awarded prizes. Parents of children who had recovered from malnutrition and returned healthy from nutrition rehabilitation centers were also honored. This initiative was a significant step in raising awareness about maternal and child health and eradicating malnutrition.

Commendation for Dedicated Workers

In recognition of their exemplary work within the health and child development departments, several ASHA workers and Anganwadi workers were presented with certificates of appreciation. Key recipients included Savita Saxena, Sunita Devi, Nandrani, Rashmi, Rekha, Kanti Devi, Shakti Maheshwari, Suvita Rani, Anshu Saxena, and Jyoti Saini. Speakers lauded their contributions to improving maternal and child health services and building a malnutrition-free society.

Broader Objectives of the Campaign

The Service Sankalp Campaign, running from September 17th to October 17th, has a broad objective of implementing government welfare schemes at the grassroots level and connecting citizens with the national goal of 'Developed India-2047'. The Angan Milan ceremony was attended by the Chief Medical Officer, District Program Officer, other departmental officials, and a large number of local citizens and beneficiary families.
