The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) held a vociferous protest outside the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) office on Deen Dayal Upadhyay Marg in Delhi, condemning the alleged exam paper leaks in Punjab. BJP activists levelled serious accusations against the AAP government, demanding the immediate resignation of Punjab's Education Minister, Harjot Singh Bains.

Allegations of Education System Collapse

This demonstration occurred amidst reports of question papers for various examinations in Punjab being leaked. The BJP alleges that the education system under the AAP government has completely collapsed, jeopardizing the future of the youth. The party asserts that incidents like paper leaks reflect the government's failure and that the Education Minister must be held accountable.

Recurring Paper Leak Incidents

In recent times, Punjab has witnessed multiple instances of question papers from various recruitment examinations and other academic tests being leaked. These incidents have raised serious questions about the quality of the state's education system and the fairness of its examinations. The BJP attributes these leaks to the incompetence and negligence of the ruling AAP government in Punjab.

Loss of Candidate Confidence

BJP leaders stated that repeated paper leaks are eroding the confidence of aspirants, adversely affecting deserving candidates. The opposition also alleges that the government's actions in these cases are insufficient and that there is an attempt to shield the culprits. The BJP has specifically held Punjab Education Minister Harjot Singh Bains responsible for this entire episode and has intensified its protests, demanding his resignation.

Ministerial Accountability Demanded

The party believes that it will be difficult to expect a fair investigation as long as the minister remains in office. The BJP is adamant that their protest will continue until the Education Minister steps down, accusing the Punjab government of failing to uphold the integrity of examinations. Extensive Security Measures

Anticipating untoward incidents and potential disruptions, stringent security arrangements were in place outside the AAP office. A large contingent of police personnel, the Rapid Action Force (RAF), and other security forces were deployed to prevent protesters from reaching the party office. Major routes leading to the office were barricaded, and water cannons were on standby.

Call for Intervention

The police administration endeavoured to ensure the protest remained peaceful and that law and order was maintained. Protesters were stopped a considerable distance from the office, where they raised slogans supporting their demands. The BJP contends that paper leaks have become a serious problem requiring immediate solutions, not just isolated incidents. The party has urged the central government to intervene and take necessary steps to restore Punjab's education system to its rightful course.
