PRD Jawans Receive Enhanced Benefits

A state-level conference of Provincial Rakshak Dal (PRD) jawans, held in Gorakhpur, was live-streamed at the Vikas Bhawan auditorium in Fatehgarh. PRD officials and jawans from Farrukhabad district were present to listen to the Chief Minister's address.

The event, presided over by District Magistrate Dr. Ankur Lather and attended by Chief Guest MLA Amritpur Mr. Sushil Kumar Shakya, saw significant announcements for the welfare of the jawans.

Dr. Lather urged the PRD jawans to perform their duties with the same dedication as police personnel, emphasizing the inherent energy and morale associated with wearing a uniform.

PRD jawans are currently serving in various key locations including police stations, outposts, during Kanwar Yatra, in flood-affected areas, Ganga Yatra, Kasturba schools, courts, collectorates, traffic management, banks, and other vital places. The District Magistrate stressed the importance of interest and motivation in fulfilling governmental responsibilities.

He highlighted that PRD jawans are entrusted with significant responsibilities alongside their uniform, necessitating discipline and alertness. He further added that government employees should fulfill their duties with self-motivation and responsibility.

The District Magistrate also noted that the jawans' work ethic has inspired the government to reward them with increased allowances and a cashless medical scheme.

Duty Allowance and Medical Benefits Detailed

Following the live broadcast, MLA Amritpur Mr. Sushil Kumar Shakya, in his address, stated that Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has blessed the PRD jawans with qualitative progress in their duties. He provided a timeline of the duty allowance increases.

The duty allowance for PRD jawans was ₹250 until 2019. The current government increased it to ₹375 on March 8, 2019, to ₹395 on January 6, 2022, and to ₹500 on April 1, 2025. Now, the Chief Minister has further increased it to ₹600 as of August 18, 2026.

This decision is expected to directly benefit approximately 31,000 PRD jawans across the state. Mr. Shakya further acknowledged the PRD jawans' loyal service in challenging weather conditions, including rain, cold, and intense heat.

In recognition of their dedication, the government has decided to launch a 'cashless medical facility' for the free medical treatment of PRD jawans and their families, a move described as a cause for great joy.

Jawans Express Gratitude

During the live broadcast, the PRD jawans present attentively listened to the Chief Minister's address. They expressed their gratitude to the government and administration for the cashless scheme and the increase in duty allowance for their welfare.

Present at the event were Chief Development Officer Vinod Kumar Gaur, District Development Officer Shyam Kumar Tiwari, District Commandant Pushpendra Yadav, along with other officials and PRD jawans.
