Rural Agricultural Work Experience Orientation Held at PawarKheda Agricultural College

The College of Agriculture, PawarKheda, in Narmadapuram, conducted a 'RAWE' (Rural Agricultural Work Experience) orientation program on September 15, 2026. The event was designed for final-year B.Sc. Agriculture graduate students.

Focus on Practical Rural Farming Experience

Under the guidance of Dean and Joint Director Research, Dr. Praveen Kumar Mishra, students were introduced to the practical aspects of rural agricultural work and the latest techniques. The program outlined upcoming activities for students, with male students assigned to the Krishi Vigyan Kendra (KVK) Harda and female students to KVK Betul.

Guidance and Administrative Details

RAWE Coordinator Dr. Sakshi Singh provided students with crucial directives concerning their upcoming rural stay and associated activities, highlighting it as a unique learning opportunity. Assistant Professor and DDO, Dr. Shobharam Anjanawe, elaborated on the administrative and financial aspects to ensure the smooth execution of the program.

Learning Village Survey and Technology Transfer

A key element of the orientation was connecting students with the rural environment. Scientist at the Zonal Agricultural Research Station, Dr. Vinod Kumar, detailed the 'Survey of Village' technique, teaching students data collection and reporting methods vital for agricultural surveys in rural areas.

Bridging Innovation and Farmers

Assistant Professor Dr. Ansih Ninama emphasized the implementation of modern agricultural innovations. He explained effective methods for transferring advanced farming techniques directly to farmers' fields to enhance agricultural productivity.

Developing Future Agricultural Professionals

This orientation is considered a significant step in developing students' professional skills and practical engagement with the agriculture sector. The college administration believes this training will better prepare young individuals to contribute to agriculture and deepen their understanding of rural farming.
