Outsourced electricity employees working in Madhya Pradesh are set to organize a massive rally in Bhopal on August 2, 2026. The rally is being organized to press for their various demands.

The Madhya Pradesh Bahya Srot Vidyut Karmachari Sangathan, affiliated with the Bhartiya Mazdoor Sangh, will use this event to strongly advocate for the regularisation of outsourced employees who have been providing services for years in electricity distribution companies.

Key demands include regularisation, equal pay for equal work, service security, social security, and respectable facilities for these employees.

Contact Campaign and Employee Engagement

During a contact campaign held in the Narsinghgarh area, union officials met with outsourced employees working in various offices, including the Narsinghgarh Division Office, Gadiya DC, Narsinghgarh Rural DC, Boda, Talen, Iklera, Jhadla, Kuwar, and DCO.

The primary objective of these meetings was to inform employees about the rally's purpose, their main demands, and the event's outline, and to motivate them to travel to Bhopal.

Key Demands Detailed

Sanjay Shekhar Sharma, District Minister of the Bhartiya Mazdoor Sangh, addressed the employees, stating that outsourced workers are the backbone of electricity distribution companies yet are denied equal pay for equal work, service security, regularisation, social security, and other dignified facilities.

"The organization's main demands include the creation of a concrete regularisation policy for outsourced employees, providing bonus marks and reservation benefits based on experience in departmental recruitment, implementation of equal pay for equal work, ensuring 100% EPF and ESI arrangements, providing service security up to the age of 62, implementing a ₹20 lakh accident insurance, offering skill development training, and providing an opportunity for a hearing in cases of service termination."

Manglesh Mehra, District Convenor of the Bahya Srot Outsourced Organization, along with District President Pawan Sharma and District Minister Vinod Verma, highlighted the recent departmental recruitment where contract employees received bonus marks for their experience, while outsourced employees have been excluded from this benefit despite years of service.

They demanded that this discrepancy be rectified, outsourced employees be provided equal opportunities based on their experience, and their right to regularisation be ensured.

Employee Resolve and Appeal

During the contact campaign, the outsourced electricity employees present resolved to unite and raise their voices for their rights by reaching Bhopal on August 2.

The organization has appealed to all outsourced electricity employees to come to Bhopal in large numbers to make the mega rally and memorandum program successful.
