NSUI Submits Memorandum Over Unstarted Classes at Guna College, Warns of Agitation

Classes Delayed at Guna College, NSUI Demands Action

Students in Guna are facing significant disruption as regular classes for BA, BSc, and BCom courses have yet to commence at the Government Postgraduate College, Guna, despite the start of the academic session. The National Students' Union of India (NSUI) has voiced strong dissatisfaction over this delay.

The student organization has submitted a memorandum to the college principal, urging the swift resumption of classes. The NSUI has also issued a stern warning, stating that if regular academic work does not begin soon, they will be forced to resort to protests.

Student Dissatisfaction and Demands

NSUI student leaders highlighted that the first week of August has passed, and undergraduate classes are still not underway. This delay has caused widespread discontent among students, who are concerned about their academic progress. They have appealed to the college administration to ensure classes for all subjects are conducted on time and regularly.

Furthermore, the union emphasized the importance of enforcing the rule of at least 75 percent student attendance in classes. This measure, they believe, will help foster a more conducive academic environment and improve the overall quality of education.

Concerns Over Academic Future

The Government Postgraduate College, Guna, established in 1957, offers a range of undergraduate (UG) and postgraduate (PG) programs, with BA, B.Com, and B.Sc. being prominent. The current delay in commencing classes has raised serious concerns among students regarding their academic future.

The NSUI's protest aims to bring students' education back on track and ensure they receive quality education in line with the latest academic guidelines. Student leaders clarified that their opposition is directed at the system's inefficiencies, not any individual. Their primary demand is to prevent unnecessary delays in academic activities and ensure students complete their courses on schedule.

Several NSUI activists, including College Vice President Anshul Raghuvanshi, Deepak Jatav, Vikas Raghuvanshi, and Abhishek Yadav, were present during the submission of the memorandum. As of now, the college administration has not released any official statement regarding this matter.
