NSS Foundation Day Celebrated at Mohanpur College

The National Service Scheme (NSS) Foundation Day was enthusiastically celebrated on September 24, 2026, at Government College Mohanpur. During the 'Seva Sankalp Samaroh' (Service Pledge Ceremony) held on this occasion, college students committed to actively participate in crucial social campaigns such as cleanliness, de-addiction, and the 'Save the Daughter-Educate the Daughter' initiative.

The event was presided over by Principal Shri Ganesh Prasad Ahirwar, with Dr. Umesh Chandra Pandey moderating the proceedings. The ceremony commenced with the lighting of a lamp before portraits of Goddess Saraswati and Swami Vivekananda. A Saraswati Vandana and the NSS anthem, presented by female students, added solemnity to the occasion.

Emphasis on Social Responsibility

During his address, Principal Shri Ahirwar familiarized students with the objectives of the National Service Scheme and their social responsibilities, inspiring the youth towards societal betterment. Chief Guest Shri Santosh Gangele Karmayogi, a senior journalist and social worker, urged the youth to ensure their participation in national campaigns like cleanliness drives, 'Save the Daughter-Educate the Daughter,' and de-addiction efforts. He particularly highlighted the role of youth in making these campaigns successful.

Special Guest Shri Laxman Prasad Vishwakarma, the former principal, stressed the importance of spiritual education and the necessity of public awareness against societal ills. Guest of Honour Shri Santosh Gangele Karmayogi, a senior journalist and social worker, urged the youth to ensure their participation in national campaigns like cleanliness drives, 'Save the Daughter-Educate the Daughter,' and de-addiction efforts. He particularly highlighted the role of youth in making these campaigns successful.

'Save the Daughter-Educate the Daughter' Message Delivered Through Street Play

During the ceremony, college students Kum. Nireeksha Rajak, Kum. Mohini Yadav, Kum. Princy Yadav, and Kum. Shikha Bundela presented an impactful street play on the theme 'Save the Daughter-Educate the Daughter.' Through this artistic performance, they raised awareness about the education and safety of girls in society.

Dinesh Raikwar and Kum. Princy Yadav shed light on the contribution of youth to the nation's future while discussing the topic 'Developed India 2047.' Additionally, Kum. Princy Yadav conveyed a significant message on environmental conservation through a poster, which was highly appreciated by the audience.

Volunteers Reiterate Commitment

On this occasion, National Service Scheme volunteers reiterated their unwavering commitment to service, cleanliness, and social awareness. At the conclusion of the ceremony, Dr. Narendra Kumar Khati expressed gratitude to all the esteemed guests, faculty members, students, and everyone who contributed to making the event a success.

Dr. Brijesh Kumar Vishwakarma, Dr. Suman Kumari, and Shri Rohit Awasthi also played significant roles in ensuring the event's success. Many dignitaries, including Shri Pramod Kumar Rathore, Shri Satyapal Singh Narvariya, Smt. Shruti Kirti Tiwari, Dr. Shishupal Singh, all the college staff, and prominent citizens of Mohanpur, were present for the occasion. This ceremony further strengthened the spirit of 'Service is Supreme Duty' among the students.
