NITTTR Bhopal Wins Top Award at Govt Expo

The National Institute of Technical Teachers Training and Research (NITTTR), Bhopal, has been awarded the First Prize in the “Excellence in Faculty Development and Technical Pedagogy” category at the Government Achievements and Schemes Expo-2026. The prestigious event, held at Bharat Mandapam in New Delhi from July 25 to 27, 2026, recognized NITTTR Bhopal for its extensive work in advancing technical education and academic excellence.

This national accolade underscores the Institute’s consistent efforts in faculty development, fostering innovation, and maintaining high academic standards within the technical education sector. The expo provided a platform for NITTTR Bhopal to showcase its diverse range of services and initiatives.

Showcasing Innovations and Initiatives

NITTTR Bhopal’s stall at the expo featured a comprehensive display of its academic consultancy services, robust industry collaborations, and groundbreaking innovations in technical education. Visitors were introduced to key areas such as outcome-based curriculum design and assessment reforms.

The Institute also highlighted its 14 Massive Open Online Courses (MOOCs) developed in cutting-edge technology domains. Furthermore, its significant work related to the Indian Knowledge System (IKS) and other specialized academic initiatives were prominently featured. A notable achievement was the display of 24 online courses created for the SWAYAM platform, which have already benefited over 4.24 lakh learners.

Capacity Building and Technological Advancements

A major focus of NITTTR Bhopal's presentation was its impact on capacity building within technical education. Since 2014, the Institute has successfully trained 63,114 teachers through 2,584 training programmes.

The exhibition also shed light on advancements in indigenous semiconductor packaging technologies and innovative 3D printing solutions for critical sectors like healthcare, defence, and industry. The Institute's commitment to indigenous technology development and its role in initiatives like the creditization of internships under the NATS 2.0 programme were also put on display.

Visitor Engagement and Recognition

Over the three days of the expo, NITTTR Bhopal’s stall attracted a significant number of visitors, exceeding 600. These included students, educators, experts from leading educational institutions, and representatives from various industries, all of whom expressed keen interest in the Institute’s contributions.

"The award is a significant national recognition of the Institute’s excellence in academics, faculty training, and innovation," stated Prof. Chandra Charu Tripathi, Director of NITTTR Bhopal.

Prof. Tripathi congratulated the team and expressed confidence that NITTTR Bhopal will continue to lead in enhancing technical education quality, strengthening faculty capabilities, and promoting innovation in the future.

The Institute was represented at the expo by Dr. Anju Rawle, Dr. Sandeep S. Kedar, Dr. Ravi Kumar Gupta, and Dr. Shilpi, working under the guidance of Prof. Tripathi.
