Narmadapuram Launches Campaign Against Stray Cattle, 34 Animals Relocated to Shelter

Stray Cattle Campaign Intensifies in Narmadapuram

The Narmadapuram municipality's task force has become active in tackling the persistent issue of stray and unattended cattle within the city. Under the directives of Municipal President Neetu Mahendra Yadav and Chief Municipal Officer Vaibhav Deshmukh, a special campaign is underway to free the city from these animals.

The primary objective of this initiative is to enhance road safety and ensure smooth traffic flow. The campaign has focused on areas such as Ward-29 Sindhi Colony, Sanjay Nagar, Panchvati Complex, and Pahadiya. Led by task force in-charge Gagan Soni, the team successfully apprehended a total of 34 unattended cattle during their operations.

Cattle Rehomed, Negligent Owners Fined

All the captured cattle have been safely transported to the Goshala (cow shelter) located within the Central Jail premises. This measure aims to prevent them from obstructing traffic and ensure their well-being. This step is expected to contribute significantly to both the city's aesthetics and safety.

During the campaign, the municipal team identified two cattle owners who were allowing their animals to roam freely on the streets. These negligent owners have been penalized with a fine of INR 1000 each. Furthermore, they have received stern warnings against repeating such offenses and strict instructions to keep their cattle under control.

Appeal to Cattle Owners and Future Warnings

Municipal President Neetu Mahendra Yadav has issued a special appeal to all cattle owners in the city. She urged them not to leave their cattle unattended on the roads, but to confine them within their homes or enclosures. She emphasized that stray cattle not only disrupt traffic but also frequently become victims of road accidents, posing a severe risk to human life.

The municipality has clarified that punitive actions will continue against those who violate regulations in the future. This ensures that all citizens can live in a safe and clean environment. The municipality's effort is focused on controlling the growing population of stray cattle and providing them with a safe haven away from the streets.

The Goshala at the Central Jail is equipped with the necessary facilities to ensure the health and safety of these animals. This campaign demonstrates the municipality's commitment to making Narmadapuram a better and safer place. Plans are in place to continue such campaigns to eradicate the problem at its root.
