Dominant Performance at World Arnis Championship

Young athlete Nahid Ali Choudhary from the Samba district of Jammu and Kashmir has delivered a stellar performance at the 18th World Arnis Championship, organized by the World Eskrima Kali Arnis Federation (WEKAF). He proudly claimed two gold medals and one bronze medal.

Nahid attributed his remarkable achievement to his parents and coach Aman Verma, whose inspiration and guidance were instrumental in reaching this milestone. Competing in three different events at the World Arnis Championship, Nahid Ali defeated formidable opponents from the Philippines, the United States, and Thailand.

Nahid Ali's Winning Strategy

He made a strong start in his initial event and replicated his impressive performance in the subsequent one. Maintaining his confidence in the third event as well, Nahid filled his coffers by winning two gold and one bronze medal.

The championship is centered around Arnis, a martial art that emphasizes self-defense and combat skills using sticks, knives, and empty hands. In a special conversation with 'IANS', Nahid expressed his immense excitement about his success and pledged to strive for more gold medals for the country in the future.

Message to Youth and Family Pride

He also conveyed a message to the youth, urging them to stay away from drugs and embrace sports and physical activities. Nahid's mother, Nishad Begum, expressed profound pride in her son's success, noting his relentless hard work and lifelong passion for sports.

Nishad Begum rejoiced that just as her husband serves the nation, their son is also winning medals for the country. Nahid's elder brother, Hameed Choudhary, described his younger brother's international success as a moment of pride for the entire family and the village.
