Land Dispute Leads to Murder, Two Arrested in Farrukhabad

The Kamalgang police station in Farrukhabad has successfully cracked a murder case within 24 hours, apprehending two primary accused involved in a land dispute. The police also recovered a wooden stick, the weapon used to commit the crime, from the possession of the arrested individuals.

The arrests were made based on a complaint filed by the family of the deceased, Harnam Singh alias Pappu. According to the complaint, Harnam Singh alias Pappu was allegedly beaten to death with sticks. Subsequently, the accused dumped the body in the fields between Dhirajpur and Sawasi villages with the intention of concealing it.

An immediate case was registered at the Kamalgang police station, and an investigation was launched to uncover the truth behind the incident. During the investigation and interrogation of the accused, the police took swift action and successfully arrested Kailash Chandra Sharma, a resident of village Sawasi, and Neelendra alias Narad, a resident of Dhirajpur.

Further legal proceedings are underway against both accused. During police interrogation, the accused made shocking revelations. They admitted that about four to five years ago, Kailash Chandra Sharma had sold six Biswa of his land to Harnam Singh. The accused stated that due to an increase in land value, Kailash Chandra Sharma wanted to reclaim the sold land, leading to a long-standing dispute between the parties.

Fueling this animosity, both accused jointly beat Harnam Singh mercilessly with sticks, resulting in his death. After the murder, they disposed of the body in the fields along the roadside in an attempt to destroy evidence and conceal the case. In this regard, Additional Superintendent of Police Girish Kumar stated that the accused have been arrested and are being interrogated. The police are committed to delving into the depth of the case and investigating any other potential aspects.

This incident once again highlights the severe consequences of land disputes, which often escalate into violent confrontations. The police administration has assured the victim's family that the perpetrators will be given the strictest possible punishment.
