It is a relatively expensive investigation and not easily available in all locations. An MRI scan can typically take a longer time to complete.

For patients with non-MRI-compatible metal implants or those with claustrophobia, this examination can be challenging. Therefore, the decision to undergo an MRI should always be made based on the advice and proper evaluation of a specialist physician.

According to orthopedic specialists, MRI is a powerful diagnostic tool, but it is a supplement to medical examination, not a replacement for it. It is inappropriate to make treatment decisions solely based on an MRI report.

A comprehensive evaluation, combining the patient's symptoms, detailed medical history, physical examination, and MRI findings, is essential. The correct clinical decision ensures that the patient receives the most appropriate treatment in a timely manner.
