MJS College Hosts Anti-Drug Campaign: Youth Pledge to Stay Sober

Anti-Drug Campaign Launched at MJS College

Prime Minister College of Excellence, Shajapur MJS College, Bhind successfully organized an anti-drug campaign titled 'Distance from Drugs is Necessary 2.0', following the directives of the Madhya Pradesh government. The primary objective of this program was to make students aware of the harmful effects of drug abuse and inspire them to stay away from it.

Police Superintendent Addresses Students

The Chief Guest for the event was Superintendent of Police (SP) Suraj Kumar Verma. In his address, he provided detailed information about the severe repercussions of drug addiction and earnestly urged the youth to maintain a firm distance from such substances.

SP Verma emphasized the critical importance of drug-free living, stating, "Staying away from drugs is paramount for a secure future." He also highlighted the social, economic, and health-related dangers associated with drug abuse, ensuring students do not fall into its trap.

Engaging Activities Promote Drug-Free Living

In-charge Principal of the college, Prof. Sunil Tripathi, described drugs as the "root of destruction" and stressed the absolute necessity of keeping them out of one's life. Under his guidance, various competitions centered on the theme of drug de-addiction were organized on the college campus. Students enthusiastically participated in these events.

The competitions included poster making, slogan writing, and short plays, all aimed at delivering a strong message against drug abuse. These creative mediums allowed students to express their emotions and thoughts, effectively spreading the message of drug de-addiction.

Community Commitment to a Drug-Free Society

The program was skillfully managed by District Organizer Dr. Anita Bansal. Station house officers were also present at the de-addiction workshop, lending further support to the ongoing efforts against drug abuse in the region. College staff members and a large number of students actively participated in the event.

All participants unanimously reaffirmed their pledge to abstain from drugs, a significant step towards building a drug-free society. This collective commitment will inspire the youth not only to protect themselves from addiction but also to contribute to freeing their community from its clutches.

The college administration has committed to organizing such programs regularly in the future to ensure the message of drug de-addiction remains consistent, guiding the younger generation towards a healthy and secure future.
