Man Consumes Poison After Alleging Police Demanded Bribe Over Assault Complaint
A man in Farrukhabad consumed a poisonous substance after accusing a policeman of demanding a bribe for action on an assault complaint.

Police Accused of Bribery in Assault Case, Man Ingests Poison
Serious questions have been raised regarding police action in the Farrukhabad district's Rajepur police station area following an assault incident. Asaram, son of Tulsidas, a resident of Imadpur Pamaram village, has accused his elder brother Virendra of assaulting him while intoxicated.
Furthermore, Asaram claims that despite filing a complaint at the police station, no action was taken against his accused brother. The situation escalated with a more serious allegation: Constable Mukesh, posted at the station, allegedly demanded a sum of two thousand rupees from Asaram in exchange for apprehending the accused.
Man Consumes Poisonous Substance
Distraught by the police constable's alleged demand for money, Asaram reportedly consumed a poisonous substance outside the police station. He soon fell unconscious at the scene. Upon receiving information, family members rushed to his aid and transported him to the Community Health Center (CHC) Rajepur.
Dr. Himanshu Rajput, on duty in the emergency ward at CHC Rajepur, stated that the young man himself admitted to consuming a poisonous substance. After receiving treatment, his family took Asaram home.
